During the COVID-19 Level 4 Lockdown VOYCE’s commitment to children in care took on a special significance. To help reduce isolation VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai activated a digital strategy, preparing a steady stream of virtual tuhono events to keep tamariki and rangatahi atawhai engaged, occupied and connected. Our Kaiwhakamana continued their outreach to children and young people throughout Aotearoa, and we proud of their achievements and thankful for the support and positive engagement of caregivers. As we guardedly step out of this crisis, VOYCE looks forward to continuing building momentum around a care community that places the voices of children and young people at the centre so that their experience of care is the best it can be.
