Care experienced tamariki spent the day at the Westridge Equestrian Centre, Levin. They learned all about the horses, grooming and riding them.

TE WIKI O TE REO MAORI HAWKES BAY
VOYCE Ngati Kahungunu, celebrated Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori with our care experienced young people by sharing stories about the Māori Language Moment with an interactive wall display, word searches, colouring and sharing kai.
WAKA AMA EVENT LYTTLETON
VOYCE Te Waipounamu took Rangatahi out on a Waka to celebrate Matariki at Naval Point, Lyttleton.
STARDOME MATARIKI EVENT
The VOYCE Tamaki team had a tuhono connecting 24 tamariki and caregivers new to the VOYCE Kaupapa attended our Matariki event which took part at the Stardome, Cornwall park.
HORSE RIDING WITH VOYCE ŌTAUTAHI

VOYCE - Whakarongo Mai collaborated with Oranga Tamariki and Te Karanga Trust to organise a day of music, pampering and fashion for young people in care with local Hip Hop legends Church & AP taking centre stage.
Butterfly Kids
This connection event for pēpi, mokopuna and tamariki atawhai was a hit with the young kids who enjoyed the hands-on experience with the farm animals, colourful butterflies along with the dinosaur and mystical exhibits. The day ended with a train ride.

Childrens Day Auckland Round the Bays
In support of Childrens Day VOYCE - Whakarongo Mai recognised children in care by organising a team of children, young people, caregivers & trusted adults along with social workers part of the care community to participate in the annual Round the Bays Marathon event in Auckland.

Chipmunks Playland Mega Zone Rotorua – July 2018
We were proud to hold this connection event at Chipmunks Playland at MegaZone Rotorua Lynmore Junction, 346 Te Ngae Road (SH30) Rotorua. Free to attend for children aged 2-11 years with their caregivers.
Youth Law Workshop – June 2018

VOYCE Whakarongo Mai donned pink to mark Pink Shirt Day, which was highlighting bullying and calling for action against it. The awareness campaign was driven by our amazing friends at the Mental Health Foundation New Zealand. Pink Shirt Day was held on May 27 2018.
Ngaa Tuakiri: Identities Poetry Slam – May 2018
Be who you want to be, not what others want to see...VOYCE Whakarongo Mai held Ngaa Tuakiri: Identities Poetry Slam as part of Youth Week New Zealand. The poetry slam was an amazing experience which was facilitated by Action Station, and was held at VOYCE HQ on May 23, 2018 from 6pm-9pm.
Mega Zone Dunedin – April 2018
What an amazing connection this was!!! VOYCE Whakarongo Mai had so much fun at Megazone Dunedin where tamariki and rangatahi atawhai enjoyed a raft of fun activities. The festivities was held from 2.30pm-4.30pm on Friday, 27 April 2018.

We partnered with Chefs for Compassion, Eden Park, Eden Park Catering and Bettjeman's hairdressers for an epic Christmas dinner at Eden Park. The menu was designed, prepared, plated and served by care experienced young leaders for other tamariki and rangatahi! Ka mau te wehi!

Ever wanted to be in the circus? Then you should definitely check out the Circus Hub in Wellington! We had an amazing time at our connection event there, and learned all about the high ropes, trapeze and other awesome tricks in a safe, fun and welcoming way.
A Night At The Movies – April 2017
We had an awesome time watching ‘Lego Batman’ at the movies in Hamilton, topping it off with free popcorn, drinks and ice cream!
Safari Night At The Zoo – April 2017
We're still excited about our special night at Auckland Zoo, complete with a barbecue dinner, torch-lit adventure, and an overnight stay. What better way to start the day than to wake up for breakfast with the animals! The overnight event started on Wednesday, 26th April at 4:30pm and ended at 8am Thursday, 27th April.
Fantastic Festive Feast – December 2016
For Christmas we hosted around forty children and young people in care for an amazing and special five course dinner. It was heaps of fun and Jay-Jay, Dom and Randell from the Edge radio came along and gave out spot prizes after an awesome dance-off competition!
Auckland Movie Night – December 2016
Around 60 children and young people got to have a movie theatre to themselves to watch Dr Strange it was an awesome night with goodie bags, free popcorn, drinks and ice cream!

VOYCE - Whakarongo Mai along with Dingwall Trust hosted an awesome outing to Snowplanet with a group of young people. It was a great chance to connect as they supported each other down the slippery slope!
Ngāpuhi Taitamariki Wananga – October 2016
Children and young people of Ngāpuhi descent were brought together for a four-day wananga to connect with each other and learn about their tupuna and whakapapa links.
Power Of Story – September 2016
A fun day of workshopping with guest speakers from Peace4Kids, an organisation and community for foster children in Los Angeles. Workshops included music, film, drama and poetry to learn the power of a personal story and how children and young people in care might contribute to developing a strong collective voice of people in care.
