Recently, the VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai Whakatū (Nelson) crew threw an epic trampoline tūhono at Jumpin’ Nelson! This event was all about bringing together tamariki and rangatahi in care or with care experience, along with their caregivers and kaimahi, for an afternoon packed with fun, laughter, and good vibes.
The goal? To build stronger connections in our community, help everyone get to know each other better, and give rangatahi a cool space to chill and just have a good time.
The energy at Jumpin’ was off the charts! Rangatahi were bouncing all over the place, laughing, and sharing pizza while making new mates. Seeing everyone let loose and have a blast was awesome. One rangatahi even said, “It was so much fun!” and another joked, “Damn, do we have to go home already?”
The owner of Jumpin’ Nelson was a total legend, even letting the cheeky tamariki try to push him into the foam pit! Whether it was the trampolines, foam pits, parkour course, or basketball hoops, there was something for everyone. And let’s not forget the mad dash upstairs for more pizza!
Everyone, from kaimahi to rangatahi and caregivers, had nothing but good things to say about the day. It was definitely a highlight, leaving everyone hyped for the next event. The Jumpin’ tūhono was all about connection, joy, and community, making it a day we’ll never forget!
