VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai was honoured and touched to receive a taonga from the family of Daryl Brougham, a care experienced author and advocate and super special human being who sadly passed away in 2018.

Daryl’s wife Emily Gao presented the taonga at a small ceremony held at the VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai national office in Auckland. She also shared a few copies of his much-acclaimed book ‘Through the eyes of a foster child’.

Emily contacted VOYCE because she heard about the work VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai does alongside experienced young people and wanted to honour her late husband who advocated for an organisation like VOYCE to exist.
